I'd rather people bought quality stuff as that brings economies of scale where they are sorely needed and makes the good shit cheaper. The added demand would also incentivize manufacturers to focus on quality, thereby reducing waste and redundancy in the system which is good for the planet. As if that isn't enough it would save me a boatload of research time.

Any full size headphones are going to look pricey and worth stealing, so sorry, buddy, it's bad both ways. Honestly though, as long as demand is high, price will remain high. Look at iPods: Not saying they're a terrible product, but they sure aren't cheap despite dominating the market.

That's a different seller than I'm used to, and a few $$$ more - decide if they're good for you. Me, I like them pretty much. Not perfect, but great for a beater set of cans!!!

PS: Ignore the condition of the ear pads - you'll get much better usage & comfort w/a set of Bayer Dynamic pads,...trust me on this one.

PPS: dbi is located in Canada, so I'm not too sure about the "German Headphones" thing, just that they sound pretty darn good.
