Zune HardDrive questions. (Size, Connections)

My Zune80 just stopped working a couple months ago. I've been toying with the idea of just using the harddrive as an external hard drive. What kind of enclosure what I need to get for this. What size is the Hard Drive size, and what kind of connection does it have?

If it shows up as an MSC device like a flash drive, then you should be able to format it with fat32 and use it as an external drive through USB. I'm not sure about that one though, seeing as I don't have a Zune 80, but what I do know is that it will be about 80GB of space. xD

The hard drive should be 1.8" and ATA, though this is what I am guessing, I am far from 100% sure.

its a 1.8" ZIF mini hard drive. same one used in a video Ipod.

I doubt you will find an actual enclosed for it. Best thing is to make something aka DIY.

There are numerous enclosures for a zif hdd. Just look on Ebay, and you can get one for under five dollars. "1.8" ZIF hard drive enclosure"

Please notice the date on the threads you post in. That question was originally asked close to 2 years ago. If they haven't found an enclosure by now it's doubtful they ever will.
