Is it possible to run android on R1?
The title says it all. I know the answer is probably no
 , but imagine if you could, it would be epic.

It should be possible (read the developement sub-forum for R0 - R0 and R1 share much hardware and linux kernel) but most likely you will never see Android on the R1. If you ever see Rockbox that would already be a great great improvement
