Real Bluetooth solution?

I was curiously looking through the sets of bluetooth headphones on amazon.com when I stumbled upon this:

Its not a pair of bluetooth headphones,but instead its a standard Bluetooth 3.5mm headphone jack made for any type of standard headphones,so far its getting good feedback. It seems like a better idea to use this with your favorite pair of headphones instead of a bluetooth headset. The battery life of the set is rated 11 hours,but the actual receiving device will drain of course,but it seems like a good solution for those who want to go wireless and still enjoy their favorite tunes with good headphones.

The Jabra seems to have a sturdy clip while the Sony has just a plastic clip on the back of it.

I like the Sony more because I can imagine a person using the device and placing it somewhere on their clothes easier still.

i would steer clear of it. I own a similar bluetooth headphone receiver that can take any headphone plugged in and the quality is poor.
When it comes to bluetooth I am a total convert to Apt-X codec used by the likes of creative in their selected speakers. I own the D5 (http://au.store.creative.com/speaker...5/4-19181.aspx) and can confirm the quality is FAR better using the apt-x dongle (included) rather than bluetooth within a device etc.
So much a convert I'm not interested in purchasing anymore bluetooth tech UNLESS it carries this technology/codec.
Creative DO sell their own Apt-x bluetooth tech headphones but i don't know what they are like.

Look into this technology/chaps for an alternative to blutooth but still providing extremely high quality wireless sound solutions.

Well it depends on 2 things, the receiver and the transmitter.

This product is actually quite good at what it does, just remember you'll need an equally good bluetooth player to pair it with. Most modern day smart phones have good transmitters, plus most Sony and Samsung MP3 players. Most everything else you should avoid, even Cowons S9 and presumably J3 have pretty disappointing bluetooth transmitters.

I own this, and use it quite a lot with my HTC desire and I cant really point out any flaws. Maybe if I strained myself, or used some kind of software to find flaws, but just listening to music I cant notice the difference. I also have a Sony BT adapter that I plug into my clip+ or other non bluetooth enabled devices like my TV. Dont get the BT controls but wireless music is enough for me.

Yer right, it does depend on the both transmitter and reciever. I was just saying that after being spoilt with hearing apt-x in bluetooth, going back to regular bluetooth (even using half decent gear) was not cutting it.

If yer used to using a decent wired setup and want to cut the wires I think u'll find regular non apt-x bluetooth too dissapointing an experience.
But if you use apt-x bluetooth I think you'll find the trade off acceptable.

Would be nice to have a spreadsheet database of bluetooth devices both heads, recievers, transmitters and devices and rated/ranked in terms of output.
