I bought them when my RE0 broke. I haven't regret my purchase. The sound is very good and can be tailored to taste easily with the filters and/or EQ.
The only downside is, that you miss all the accessories. The filters and earhooks can be bought separately.

is that the only downside? Can anyone confirm that the cabling and construction are both the same between the two models? The price tag on the perfect bass is very convenient. I've done a lot of research on the phonaks. Can anyone answer this for me: is there any difference in sound between 012 and 112? Would the perfect bass model sound exactly the same as the 112 model if a grey filter were applied?

Yes. Only differencies are: one pair of green filters instead of four gray/black ones, lack of accesories and no silver-coloured parts (they are fully black).
