Good IEM's £100 or Under?

Whatever you think would compliment that taste. Isolation is very important.

I was thinking of the Hippo VB's, but since they're known as a "basshead" kind of headphone, perhaps they'd be a bit too bassy for me? I tend to deal with lows a lot (drone etc.) but not necessarily bass.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Pana HJE900 or Brainwavz M2 would be fine for your taste, in my opinion.

No, VBs are very nice phones. You have similar musical tastes as me, apparently, and some phones that have great clarity for that metal is the Panasonic RP-HJE900. Though, I don't know how much they are in the UK, but they meet your price requirement stateside. I've been using them for almost a year now, and they sound phenomenal.

Kind of realized that the isolation on the Panasonics is a common complaint, and isolation is rather important to me. Is there any similar alternatives? I can up the budget if I had to, but probably no more than £150 (if that).

Try better tips than the included ones and isolation will improve, like the sony hybrids.

I've found, in the past, that double and triple flange tips do a good job at isolation--as long as you don't mind the flanges tickling your brain (they really can tickle the inner workings of my ear) ...
