White bar on display is growing

Hi, I'm a frequent lurker, first-time poster. Bought my J3 in March after reading this forum. Problem: starting a few weeks ago, my J3 began showing a white bar at the bottom of the display when I turned it on. Doesn't stop the device from playing, but I notice that the bar is growing larger recently. What could be causing this? Thanks for your help.

That would be a screen defect, you need to send it in for repair.
