I just upgraded from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit. When I plugged in my S9 for the first time, Windows 7 appeared to recognize the S9 correctly. When I safely disconnect the S9 using Windows 7, Windows 7 says that the device was safely disconnected and can be removed; however, the S9 screen still says that the device is connected. When I used XP and safely disconnected, the S9 screen message would switch over to saying that the device was disconnected.
Does anyone know what's going on here and have a suggestion to fix this issue? In the meantime, I plan on just turning off the computer before I remove the S9 USB cable from the computer just to be sure. I know the S9 is an old device now, but I'm hoping someone has an answer for this or someone using Windows 7 and an S9 could comment on whether or not the S9 recognizes that it's disconnected. Thank you for your input.

My Cowon i9 says the same thing as your S9 after I click to safely remove.....the device screen still says connected, then I unplug it. Nothing to worry about.
