P2 icon doesn't show up on My Computer

I recently formated my computer and now when i plug my P2 in, it starts charging nut doesn't show up on My Computer. I can add songs and videos from EmoDio, but i want add some texts too. Please help.

I've had this problem for quite a while now, as well. I used to be able to just simply go into My Computer, click on the YP-P2 and paste Notes in my lyrics folder. I don't know why it does show up anymore. If anyone out there knows how to make the YP-P2 folder reappear and be explored, please enlighten me. A little help would be much appreciated.

Is your P2 in MTP or UMS mode?

I'm not sure - how can I switch between those two modes? I went into 'Settings', but wasn't able to find anything.

You can't change it on the player.
You need a computer that recognizes your P2 in "My Computer" to turn your player into UMS: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=22901

Yes, I've clicked on this forum post before, but I didn't think it applied to me, since I'm using a Windows XP. I'll give it a go, although, I'm not really sure what I'm doing... :-p We'll see.

I had this problem once, on my XP computer it wasn't showing up.
You can do This computer RMB -> manage and see if it pops up there. give it a drive directory and your done
or
Deinstall emodio see what it does. On a vista computer I didn't even install Emodio and it just pops up like an hdd. to transfer music best way is to use Mediamonkey and select the P2 player. the benefit of this is also that you can send .avi files to the player just rename them as .svi. Good luck
