I'm a new Cowon s9 owner and couldn't be happier. For all of the reasons mentioned at this site I love my Cowon. Best mp3 player I've ever owned! I'm a High School teacher of engineering.
Q: I've looked everywhere for almost four days now. I cannot find the battery specifications for the s9 DIMENSIONS. I don't even need the mAh just the measurements.
What I've done: I've taken internal pictures of the s9 from this site and cropped and re-sized them to spec then estimated the size of the battery but to no avail. It's not accurate. In the pictures supplied at this web site for the s9 there seems to be a PCP board above the battery. Is that part of the battery's dimensions. I'm guessing its protection for the battery. The J3 has clear pictures of its battery at this site while the data on the battery leads nowhere on the web when I've completed a search. Both the J3 and S9 are close in overall measurement and internal layout of major components. Even so, no J3 battery dimensions either. I'll take my player apart and I'm guessing twice if I don't get the answers I need. Thanks to the experts for any help on these questions.
