Problem with my samsung yp q1

I just bought a new samsung yp q1 and i downloaded the software that came with it the Emo dio. I also updated my firmware to 1.23 but when i connect my samsung yp q1 to my computer now it doesnt show up on emo dio. It shows up on my windows media player but it doesnt there does anyone know why?

I had a similar problem, I had to update to wmp 11 and install all the microsoft updates. Windows then tried to look for drivers so I just asked it to and then I could see it was copying a mtp file to the q1 and it sorted the problem. I am using xp. I must say Samsung did try to help but couldn't figure it out. In the end the guy on the other end of the phone said I must have corrupt software on my q1 and I should return it. I actually found the answer here !!

just turn emodio on first then connect your Q1

Or simply refresh the portable media in menu option. Works for me.

i spent hours trying to get my pc to recognise my Samsung YP-Q1, always got the error
"a service installation in this INF is invalid"
came across this in another forum ,
