Headphones w/ Mic-Podcast-Other Uses...

I am (wife also) interested in doing a podcast related to whatever. I am looking at the Logitech Premium Headset (with mic) for around $13.00 on ebay. I was wondering a few things here. What else could be done with the headphones if the podcast thing doesn't pan out? I have never used Skype, and I am not familiar with those types of programs.

I know I can just listen to music with them also, but what other uses are out there?


Oh yeah, is there any site that can help me find people with same interests that are interested in creating or co-hosting a podcast?

I use mine for gaming , listening to music and video online and on my pc and i also use it for skype
