Hi guys, I'm new to cowon, never tried any cowon products before
My daps for now are sansa fuze dan sansa clip plus I'm not a bass head, I prefer clarity, like crisp sound and detail over bass I also like warm better than bright My genres are newage, spanish guitar, harps, acoustic, symphony metal opera, progessive metal So I'm looking for a cowon product, which : 1. Has the warm, detail, crisp characteristics 2. Fit for my genres above 3. Has a mmc slot (SD/TF) 4. Just for playing music (FLAC), I would never watch any videos using it 5. Small size, not bulky 6. High output power, can drive middle-high earphones, such as yuin pk1 7. Decent battery power 8. Preferably, non propiertary port for charging and transferring files, so I don't have to carry it's cable everywhere Thanks |

![]() All the current Cowons should sound pretty much the same....memory slots would limit your choices to the C2 and J3, since you only want to listen to music.

I'm not a real fan of the term warm, in regards to sound discussion....seems to be no clear definition of the term, so I think perhaps it is often misunderstood(maybe even by me).
Bright and dark seem more self explanatory to me. So when you said you like clarity and detail over bass, that type of sound would be considered bright by many people.....whereas to me, anyways, warm makes me think of the opposite kind of sound.....syrupy thick mids and ample bass.....not quite dark, but close. I would cheerfully invite others to join in here, if anyone has a better way to define these terms! ![]() (perhaps this could be an addition to our Glossary for Newbies?)

Owh, thanks for the explanation, btw what kind of port, which C2 is using ? a propiertary or just a generic usb/micro usb ?
And the at the official site, it doesn't mention anything about the max capacity for microSD slot What is the max size of the tf, c2 can hold ? Thanks |
