Default Lifehacker covers buying headphones

http://uk.lifehacker.com/5800772/how...-of-headphones

Maybe it shows how well I'm acquainted with things, but I didn't know most of the headphones shown in the Head.fi founder's recommendation part.

Anyway, opinions?

I am a IEM guy, but I did know of a few of the headphones. Personally, those would not have been the earphones I would have chosen, but at the same time it looks like they tried to stick brand name earphones you can buy locally, Sennheiser, Ety, Shure, etc. So I guess they did not do that bad of a job. I mean they did not recommend the Klipsch S4 as the best sub-$100 IEM like CNET at least.

Personally, I'm pleased that my ATH M50's made the list.

Actually, it's nice that they got someone who has some knowledge on the subject; when I first started reading, I was preparing my mind for the part where they would recommend a pair of those stock Apple buds. Luckily that never happened.

Well I recognized most of those. . .the firs picture is Vibes. The only advice you need is to buy a Sennheiser.
