Hi All,
I'm trying to get my R1 to pair up with my phone ( Samsung U800 ) and once paired up, the phone sees the R1 as a set of bluetooth headphones or as an audio device. How do I get it so I can transfer files to the R1 from my phone or other device? Many thanks in advance Oceanus |

I have a Samsung G600 and it too sees the R1 as headphones, but I can still transfer files from my phone to the R1. I don't know how similar your phone is to mines, but what happens when you choose a file on the phone, select 'send via Bluetooth' and pick the R1 under My Devices?

Hi There,
I did some further checks, and I can send files to my R1 with a blackberry no problem, just seems it is my Samsung phone that refuses to send to the R1. When I select a file to send, the R1 does not appear in 'My devices'. If I disconnect from the R1 and start from scratch, it finds the R1 and automatically assigns it as an audio device and it then never apears in 'My devices' for file transfers! I would have though Samsung gear would work with other Samsung gear, I gave up in the end, and sent the file from my Samsung phone to my blackberry, and then to the R1 :-) Cheers Oceanus |

I noticed that when I'm in the Bluetooth menu I see 3 icons at the bottom: a magnifying glass, 3 lines and the 'back' arrow.
When I press the middle icon, the 3 lines, one of the options available is "Search Option". Inside 'Search Option' I can see "Stereo Headset" and "File Transfer". You might want to try 'File Transfer'. Hope it helps. |

It's quite easy to transfer any files from the R1 to another device, such as a U800 phone (which I have).
What you must first do is check that the unit is set to "File Transfer" under "Search Option" on the Bluetooth screen. Next, you must connect the R1 to the other device using the R1's screen first. If you connect TO the R1 from your phone, it will see it as a Headset, and not want to transfer data... In order to connect the R1 to the phone, drag the phone icon on the bluetooth screen across to the middle and establish the connection, next, in order to transfer files, drag the now connected phone icon into the middle again. This will bring up a screen with a "File Transfer" option, from there you can select which files you wish to transfer to your device. You can select multiple files, although this can take some time... then hit the transfer button (bottom right of the screen). Hope that helps...? |
