I'm talking about actually walking into a store, slapping some money down on the counter, and walking away with my new toy. So far the only store that I can find is Canada Computers, every one of which is out of stock. I want to avoid buying online at all costs.
Please help! ~Clappy |

To accomplish that, you need to take a vacation to the USA. What are you doing for Spring Break? I'm sitting in Lakeland Florida waiting for tomorrow's baseball game (Red Sox at Tigers).

Being a new user, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, just piggy-back on it. I also live in Canada (Winnipeg) and I'm constantly struggling with terrible Online sites for my shopping needs. Ordering items, especially electronics that cost a couple hundred dollars, forces the consumer to order from the USA and pay duties and taxes you wouldn't normally incur if Canada retailers had a more varied selection.
Amazon.ca has to be one of the worst .ca alternatives to its .com counterpart. I would love to be able to walk into FutureShop or Best Buy (again, the .com easily trumps the pathetic .ca) and purchase a Cowon device. Alas, forced online to retailers such as Newegg (again, a terrible .ca), NCIX or Tigerdirect.ca. Stock and pricing again is TERRIBLE compared to the USA. The Canadian dollar is actually worth MORE then the US dollar... but due to import costs, the price of most goods cost more. By living in Canada, you are quickly crippled by the lack of options and item availability. On another note, what major US retailers carry Cowon J3's in stock available to walk-in customers? |

Yeah, this is actually near impossible. I snagged a 16GB model on eBay for $250 after shipping from Quebec. Nearly the exact same price as amazon.com though after the import fees and everything. x/
