Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this question, if so please feel free to move.
I have a 32Gb J3 with 32Gb Sandisk card fitted, all works fine, or at least did ! For some strange reason whenever i connect to my Win 7 64 bit Ultimate laptop, Windows explorer can't read the content of the J3, makes no difference if i remove the micro sd card. I just get a failing to respond error message in explorer. Everything works fine on my XP machine, i can't think of anything that i have changed recently on the Win 7 machine, everything used to work just fine ![]() Anyone any suggestions as to what's wrong, or what to check ? Thanks in advance Frank |

Weird, did you try to reset and smash it against the wall?

Have reset it and reformatted it, but no difference. Think i'll pass on smashing it against the wall just yet, works fine on the XP machine
![]() The only other thing i have noticed is that when doing a database update on the j3, it doesn't complete, it freezes at about 75%, probably not related though ? It's got me stumped that's for sure, it's a real pain copying all my music from the Win 7 machine back to the XP one

Are you using MSC or MTP USB mode?

as said in the original post, it was working fine on win 7 until recently, have already done a reset and a full format, with no difference .

I have a different problem with J3 2.25 fw: in W7, when I try to copy a PDF file in the Documents directory, at the end of the transfer it just hangs indefinitely, the transfer does not get complete.
Maybe I am doing smth wrong. Everything else works perfectly. |

i just wanted to copy the file (basically use the J3 as a usb stick, since I anyway carry it around) - I don't think that should be a problem, right?

Go to device and printers and remove j3 from devices and unplug the cables from the j3 and then replug it back in to reinstall drivers.
