So if anyone is wondering what this thing actually comes packaged with here is a picture:
![]() It comes with: 1. some cheap earbuds. 2. USB cable. 3. CD with windows drivers and manual. 4. Small instruction booklet. 5. A couple of free music and audio book offers. (with plenty of strings attached) 6. A fancy packaging that comes with instructions on how to take out the J3 from it's case. Then it even suggests what to do with the case when it is no longer housing your J3....made me laugh. other notes: 1. 3.5 hours to charge it to full power. (really only took about 2 hours for a full charge) 2. Learning to Navigate this thing will only take you a day or two. It's very easy to learn. 3. If you have your mp3's tagged properly before you put them on the J3 your music shows up beautifully in the menus. 4. You can customize the "widget" menu to whatever your heart desires, placing icons and widgets wherever you want on the screen. (way cool) You can also choose between 3 menu styles: icons, text menu, or icons/widgets (all of which are customizable by holding down on the icon and dragging to a new location) 5. There is really nothing to complain about with this device. It's manufactured well, navigates easily, video color and quality is fantastic, and the sound is superb. back to tagging my mp3's properly now.....sigh Last edited by spectre; 05-19-2010 at 03:51 PM. |

Same proprietary Cowon cable. Not surprising. White makes it easier to find though.

There was no TV out proprietary adapter that came with it?

No TV cable. I believe the cables sold for the S9 will work, and they are available at jetmall.net. The also have a line-in cable. The USB cables are the same for the J3 and S9, so I'm assuming the accessory cables will work on both. Best check with Cowon to be sure.

I'm still sticking with my S9, no reason for me to upgrade to the J3. |

It seems that was the case with the S9 too: 20 to 24 pin adapter and Cowon S9 24 Pin adapter threads. Last edited by cabezazo; 05-23-2010 at 07:12 AM. |

my US came wrapped in the plastic film that sticks to it, about 2/64's of an inch thick. so i cut a piece of it to use as a screen protector. works okay. but its getting on my nerves with its now recent constant unsticking. even after i cleaned the j3 and the strip of plastic. oh well ill try and find a real screen gaurd at some point.
