I am new to Zune and do not (yet) have Zunepass. Can you renew the license for DRM tracks (downloaded) using only the ZuneHD and wifi connection?
Do you also happen to know if this works while outside of US? I am interested in getting another player for daughter going into Peace Corps with only occasional internet connections (streaming no good) and no regular computer. The account would be in the US, as would payment and other devices and computer. Thanks. (could not find answer in search, btw) |

Supposedly you can, but i am yet to have it actually work, or at least i think it isn't working because after 15 minutes it is still trying, and then i lose patience.

I'm not in the US and can use the Zunepass without problems and I sync music, my own and zunepass, to the zune through WiFi.

Chaudi--are you located in one of the countries (France, Spain, etc) where Zunepass is available?
PeaceCorps is mainly in developing countries who will never be on the Zunepass/Marketplace list. Even internet connections are rare. |

No, I'm not in one of the zunepass countries, just set the computers location to United states and it should be fine.
Not sure if you have to connect the zune to a computer that's connected to the network to configure it. |

Nope, you need the Zune software and an internet connection. I believe you have to only connect to the Zune software about once a month to renew the license.
