Don't get me wrong, but I think that Ballmer is just good enough to be a sales man. He's a nice guy I guess but I believe he is running the company into the ground. I hope that Windows 8 will blow everything out of the water. I think if he screws up W8, he will be kicked out.

Lol!!! Danm!! That's a better deal then I got....

Although I must give it to Microsoft... I found a website that if you enter a valid student-email you get a free copy of certain development software - that's the only way I was able to get visual studio last year (when I did a little programming). My uni is too cheap to give essential software away for free- I had to find a way round it!!

Engadget is reporting Microsoft is working an IPTV service for the Xbox and it will be integrated with Kinect, Xbox Live and related to the "Ventura" project. They are also reporting that this will go into testing this month.

Did this happen? The only MS news I can see is that the Zune hardware is being discontinued, but that was not an official Microsoft announcement (in fact they've kind of, sort of, almost denied it).

The launch of IE9 today? That's the only MS related news I see online for today.

Just tried it out and it still seems slower than Chrome.

^Agreed, it is a tad slower than Chrome (and also lacking ABP support), but I still love the new interface and especially the ability to pin sites to the taskbar, something no other browser has yet.

I think it was ie9 but I couldn't find any proof. The announcement was supposed to be between 9:00 and 10:30 am today. Beware the ides of march I guess.

They probably got the date wrong then. The IE 9 event was at 9 - 10:30 p.m. on March 14 so maybe somehow they mistook it for March 15, 9 - 10:30 a.m.

Yeah. Because there are many websites that said IE 9 was released on March 15. I think it all has to do with time zones because IE 9 was released ridiculously late at night and 9 p.m. on March 14 in the United States is 9 a.m. elsewhere on March 15. The original article came from Australia.

That's really odd. You think they would check that kind of stuff. Whatever. Either every one else had the same typo or Microsoft either had a typo or didnt really have an announcement and its part of a evil scheme to kill off the zune hardware and brainwash the babies of the world to worship Steve Ballmer...... Just thought I'd put that out there....
