Zen Stone plus with speaker help - display broken

Hello I have and Zen Stone plus with speaker. The stone is working fine except for the display which does not work anymore. I have used it like this for months now. So I thought that maybe resetting the player might help, but it didn't. Now I can't get the player to SHUFFLE tracks because I can't see the menu.
If someone is kind enough to tell me the step-by-step keypress instructions how to get to appropriate menu to activate the "Shuffle once" option, I would be everlastingly grateful.

It is interesting you mention this, I have also recently had the exact same problem on my Zen Stone Plus (no speaker)

I am currently looking at buying one of the Sandisk players to replace it for when I go jogging. Something small and cheap and cheerful
