Hi everybody,
I'm getting a little bit sick of my old Philips SHL-9560 that I bought almost a year ago. Actually, although they might satisfy people who would buy nice headphones for an affordable price, I've noticed that when listening to Electronic music such as ATB -which is my favorite artist- there are some blasts that appear along with the beats of the music. And that is, obviously, very annoying. Besides, I've got a Samsung P3 and I'm still so thrilled to use it everytime I want to listen to music. Moreover, I set some Equalizers that deserve to be used at the maximum of their potential. I mean, what's the point having a good MP3 player if one has poor headphones ? Anyway, I'm open to any suggestions for Headphones meant to be used mostly for Rock/Metal/Metalcore but also for Trance music at a price that would be under 100€/$130. I have a distinct preference for a Headphones that won't have any blasts and have an extended range of frequencies in response. But I hope some professionals will help me out ! I've been looking up for those Headphones Audio-Technica ATH-T300 but in fact, as Audio-Technica is well known for neat quality products, I wonder why those are that cheap ? I mean 45€/$60 for those Headphones ? Where's the snare ? ![]() Thanks for your time and your answers which I hope they'll be satisfactory. Anyway, talk to you later

I'm French man, can't afford this M50 on B&H Photo. I checked that out and there are some Duties, Taxes and Shipping added to Headphones price for a total of $160.38 even for M40fs... I'll look that up on European WebStores and Regular Stores if I can buy those
Thanks by the way.

Mmmmhhhhh, those AKG 518 DJ sounds fine but I don't really like the DJ style of those headphones. Anyway they seem fine enough to me to consider your suggestion IDvsEGO
![]() But, basically, I just wanted some reviews of Audio-Technica ATH-T300 because they're told to be professional equipment whereas they're cheap. I'm just wondering if they have some major drawbacks that would justify that low price. And another option would be the Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviator -just because they're quite stylish- but what the heck it's impossible to purchase them on Skullcandy website, or to find them in a decent European regular or online store that would ship to France. The price has not been communicated by the way, those headphones are just big mystery to me haha =P Or maybe one of you may have a good reason for me that I'll eventually keep my good ol' Philips SHL-9560. It's your move

I'd say look at the AIAIAI TMA-1 but it seems the price has really gone up above your budget :/

I'm not sure of the cost, but for the price here in the USA, the JVC HA-M750 is a steal. The may be called the JVC HA-S800 or HA-800 where you are. The SQ they produce is excellent for a budget headphone - I own them myself.

Consider getting some Sony MDR-V6 or 7506 cans. They are professional closed headphones with a flat sound and can be bought on ebay for very competitive prices (fe. V6 can be bought from USA for less than 100$ including shipping. this low cost also means no customs tax).

The MDR-V6 in the USA is around $65USD,...not to bad a deal actually. I have a set myself,... Well, I own a set, as my 23yo son has "theif'd" 'em.
