Amazing review. Thanks tons. Seriously considering getting this player! Looks amazing.
Does it have TV-Out & Bluetooth support like the R1? Do the game apps of R1 work for this? Sorry for double post I deleted it. This player has the feature to display lyrics when the song is playing? like the iPods? Or you have to view the lyrics separately in the text viewer? Thanks for your help. Has Samsung done any other FW updates? Like integrating the microSD card into the player?

There have been many fw updates, but they only fix bugs, they don't improve or add features.
Better microSD integration was one of my requests but Samsung replied to me it would require too much R&D time. The first Samsung player with a good microSD integration (internal and external memories merged in the same library) is the Galaxy Player 50. However, if the Rockbox port is successful, maybe we'll get a good microSD integration on the R0

If the player gets RB going - stable - I'm in!!! Thanks for the speedy reply Iebellium, as always.
PS: When is the Galaxy Player 50 being released? I'd get that as my back up toy (using my iPhone 4 for games & such ATM).

The YP-G50 has been in some European countries yet but it seems there are some availability issues.
I don't know when it comes to the USA, I'm not even sure a US release is planned.

I actually stumbled upon a R0 today and, after doing some research, and very interested in what the player can offer. I plan on reading the full review sometime this tomorrow. A quick question: How does the sound quality compare to something like the Sansa Fuze?

Yeah, +1 with TDS. This Samsung R0 is quite sexy to me as well. And TBH, so does the Philips Ariaz - I have been eyeing it recently here in HK...
