No, that's not useful at all for that project. It's just a hobbyist toy based on rather outdated hardware. It also only runs from mains, not battery, as far as I can see.

Yeah it wasn't meant to be too serious hence why i didn't put it in the news section. But it's meant more for a Hi-Fi so that you can just insert your SD Card and play music through your home made Hi-fi. I thought it was pretty cool at least.

I guess it's interesting for an electronic hobbyist but the dimensions are rather large compared to the slim small players available (130 x 99mm / 5.11 x 3.9). Also I wouldn't expect great sq ...
