The only issue with equ is the time it takes for me to adjust properly. But, it has lot of nice features - the lack of fixed bands, unlimited (?) settings (store a setting for each of the IEMs / Headphones with their own name than remembering which of the custom EQs is for which phone). It still needs some work, but I like it already!

I was listening to my CX300 today on my iPod touch and noticed that if you change the EQ setting to "Treble Boost" the lows and mids will be cut in order to boost the treble. Since the CX300 is bass heavy the result is a V shaped sound signature similar to that of the M6. Obviously, it does not make the CX300 sound like a M6, but it does give you idea of what the M6's sound signature sound is like.

On the topic of "going back to iems" i stayed away from them for the past 5 months after my S4 broke and i stuck to just using headphones. I have very sensitive inner ears and inserting and removing iems 2-3 times will make any further use uncomfortable. I bought the Sony hybrid tips for my VBs and holy hell it's like silk or something i used them for 8+ hours a day for 3 days in a row while appartment hunting and running around the city with NO discomfort.

I've always been using IEMs so for me it's more a question of taking a step further away from compactness and get my first pair of headphones, hehe.

Sweet Adub. As you know I like to describe the Sony Hybrids as being "condom thin" - but indeed I can wear them for many hours on end with no ear fatigue.

How goes apartment hunting? Whereabouts? Still Canuckistan, right?

Apartment hunting is over! Got a nice spacious one bedroom basement apartment in downtown Toronto for one hell of a good price with a cool landlord.
