Hello all!
First of all Happy new year to all! I'm more of a "passive member" here, but I think with my little knowledge in the audio department, it is not a big loss for you guys! ![]() But thanks to all the members here for their reviews and comments, it really is a great community for the "audio geeks"! Anyway, I finally decided to buy my first pair of relatively expensive earbuds a few months ago: the UE Super Fi 5 (the mono driver ones). They sound great, a lot more balanced than my EP630. But I could not find a great fit with these: I kind of have an oily skin, the silicon eartips tend to fall off all the time, no matter which one I select. I finally tried the foam tips provided: they fit more or less, but they seem a little too big... But the most important problem appeared a few weeks back: the sound on one the buds became less loud than the other one...please note that I use them most of the time at home (computer, in bed, but also sometimes in the metro etc). I sent them back for repair (as they are under 2 years warranty), I suppose they'll send me back a new boxed pair, in a few weeks. So my question is the following: are there any "known" quality problems with these earbuds? Should I sell these when I receive the new ones, and buy something else? If yes , which one, considering my fit problem as well? Or maybe it was just bad luck with the first pair, and should simply try to buy S foam tips on it to resolve the fit issue? I thank you in advance for your help! Regards, Bassboost |

Thanks for your reply! It is indeed what I thought first, but I was thinking maybe it is a known problem, and maybe I'll never get a great fit...
Anyway, I think it is the best way to do it: I sent the earphones back for waranty, and ordered Small foam tips...I'll see what will be the final result...
