Great review! I have a pair of the CX500s myself, and have had them for quite a while (over a year). My experience with them was they do have a great bass response, and the highs are very weak, but you get used to it quickly, and after a year or so's use, now they sound perfectly fine to me (I haven't tried any other earbuds but CX300 though, so I have nothing to compare it to). With quick adjustments of the EQ on my RB'd Fuze I am able to make it sound the way I like it, however on my touch the highs are not very clear.

As of comfort, I found these earbuds terribly uncomfortable. There wasn't a single tip in the package that worked for me. A solution, get the Sony Hybrids. Now they are more comfortable than ever (I barely notice they are there), and are better at blocking out more noise. Even though you said they were comfortable, I still highly suggest you get the Hybrids.
