Oh, okay. I was thinking you had gotten majorly ripped off there.

From what I've heard, Head-Direct RE0's and Hippo VB's are good for that price point. I've bought Klipsch Image S4's, and I wasn't all that impressed (too much bass for me - I'm like a bass conservative or something :P). If you're looking for over-the-ear headphones like the Koss ones, I'm afraid I don't have any experience there.

Good luck finding something.

A list from a reviewer who is generally good.

Find the phones in your price range imo. Read the corresponding review in the link.

They're very bass heavy and not the greatest sounding. They sound "ok". Look for a set of ATH-M50's instead, much better and longer lasting "bang for the buck" IMO.

if you like a good soundstage, traditional headphones are better. IEMs are capable of good sound though. just a bit more confined. none of that bothers me though. The M50 is a good set if you can find them for $75, get them. I have a set of hd428s and love them. $55 on amazon. I also have a set of Hippo VBs that I would recommend.

I have a pair of Klipsch S4's that I use with my Cowon S9 and love them. I used to use a more expensive pair but I got tired of spending $200 every few years when one of the ears when out because of a crack in the cable through no fault of my own. You can read reviews of the Klipsch Ear Buds on Amazon. They're right in your price range and the base is not unbearable. In fact I think it's just enough.

The JVC HA-M750 will totally surprise you if you get them, and the price on Amazon.com is a steal ($49.98 w/free S&H). They're pretty much all I'm using at home ATM, I love 'em.

PS: Regardless of what 1 reviewer said, you do NOT need a powerful source to drive these cans, and ANY mp3 player will make them ROCK!!!

Amazon reviews are bad and not to be trusted, some people couldn't fine their asses with a map.

while that is true, they do represent the masses fairly well. From what I have found in my time as a bartender, waiter, and service tech most people would need a map, a gps, a sherpa guide, a strong fart and no winds.

Yeah when something has 50+ reviews it really does lower the retard factor significantly allowing for a decent consensus.

I own the same Panasonic headphones, and for the $50 or so bucks they cost the sq is fantastic. As for most Amazon reviews of headphones, I agree 99% are bs, since everyfriggenbody is a wanna be audiophile reviewer. Still, these have bloody awesom sq for the $$$!!!
