Well he stated that he had 50- 80 pounds, which is equivalent of 125 usd, the ATH-M50 cost about 110, by "That amount of money," I was referring to the amount he originally stated. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Yeah guys as good as those headphones look they are around 110, which sadly I don't have.

I would definitely compromise loud bass for a good overall sound. I would definitly have got the Sennheiser HD555's if they hadn't shot up in price.

Duffman have you thought about waiting a little while before buying a pair of cans? You could wait and save up and get the M50 or something in that range. As someone who owns and uses the M50 daily they are pretty damn fantastic and i got them for around $100US.

I would consider it, but I never really have money to spend on myself. I have been waiting for months to get a decent pair of headphones so I sort of want to get a pair now. Considering the fact the best earphones I have ever owned are the Sennheiser CX 300 II's any headphones are going to sound great to me.

Choosing headphones is hard, especially when you are on a budget

What do you guys think about the Sennheiser HD 485?
They seem to be getting good reviews and I even found a good review of them from a member of this forum.
