today at guitar i had my mp3 on for the whole period and iddn't realize it so my mp3 players battery was at red anyways when i tried to recharge it is says Low battery but then it says USB disabled.
First question IS the USB disabled cause of the Low battery or did i do something to the computer.. SEcond even if the USB is disabled is my mp3 player stil charging cause the lightning thing shows up? ty |

If you are getting the lightning icon the player is charging, just be patient with it after 10 - 15 minutes or so it will start itself up,

Maybe you've got the Player on Hold?

kakpaxsa, that has happened to me b4. If ur battery is really low, the usb and mtp modes will be disabled for a few minutes.

That happened to me today....for some reason I found my self with a completely flat battery and when I hooked it up to my PC it was not recognised. So I took it off and hooked it up again and not a sausage....other than the charging symbol on the Z5 screen. Much panic ensued as I thought yesterdays upgrade to WMP11 was the cause. Eventually it appeared. Glad to see there is a good explanation for that happening. |

I was going through the same situation with my mp3 player and was not able to charge it due to usb disabled , i had tried pluggin the player into all the different usb slots on the computer and nothing .
the way to fix this is , i have a usb keyboard that came with an adapter for the traditional pin socket that the older keyboards plugged into . so this adapter plugs into a pin socket but becomes a usb jack for the keyboard , i plugged the mp3 player into this socket as it isnt a usb its a pin socket which charged the mp3 player enough to remove that painful message battery low usb disabled and it can be then plugged back into a normal usb socket .. hope this helps everyone |

just to confirm using a usb to keyboard or mouse adapter works to get the YP Z5 to charge rather than just saying usb disconnected i had tried unplugging resetting many times but the keyboard to usb adapter worked first time and then it worked with computer through normal usb port
the adapter is that thing with usb on one end small round connector on other end it came free with a mouse or keyboard and you nearly threw it away many thanks |
