SE slowed down

I crashed my Sansa Express after connecting it to a noname MicroSD card. First it started to go awfully slow when uploading mp3s, then I tried to work it out and crashed it totally. I put it into recovery mode, and after a few hours of fighting brought it back to life. But the updater was able to format and reflash the player only with card inside, without I was getting some sort of scsi error. So I'm back at the step one - player is dead and I'm not sure if I want to revive it the same way, with the same card - I mean, it will probably make into superslow mode again, right?

So, would inserting another microsd card would help me reflash the player correctly? Or maybe there is another solution, without a card?
