i own px100 for almost 4 years now. my previous was 3x times porta pro (free repair plan..^^) i am pleased with px100. but idlike to have in 2nd gen model less muddyness towards highbass/ lower mid (maybe -1 dB) ?? hard to say.if they improve soundstage a bit,nerf sharpness a bit and add some tiny bit of liquid feel , then it will be trully impresive. i have new hd 238 headphones. so idk if i will really go for new px100 II , but if reviews will be amazed , then i buy them.
p.s. anyone tempted to buy porta pro 25th y aniversary edition?^^

I am now the lucky owner of a black PX 200-II and I am indeed very satisfied with it. I use it together with my Cowon S9 and listening to the Transatlantic Whirlwind album with these earphones on the S9 is a fantastic audio experience.

The PX 200-II is highly recommended

Have to say the original PX200 are some of the worst headphones I've ever listened to, hopefully they'll improve.

PX-100s sound great - if they've improved further that's brilliant.

Have to say though, both look really good design and comfort-wise.

I noted the price drop on both 200 and 100. Still interested to hear what the differences are beyond design (if any) between these new versions and the originals.

The PX100 is so much better than the Portapro. I have had the Portapro for around 10 years, however my PX100 is relatively new. While many might disagree with me on this, I prefer the bright sound of the Koss KTX Pro 1 to the warm sound of the Portapro. The KTX Pro 1 is a bit ugly looking though. The original KTX Pro in black looked much nicer. At under $15 for the KTX Pro 1, it is a great value though.

I have the PX100-II. They are really nice. Build quality is excellent...far superior to the PX100. I had the PX100 and they just recently broke(my fault though).

The PX-100-II have alot more bass than the PX100. The stereo speration/sound stage seems to be alot better to. The sound is softer and fuller. However, I don't know how to explain it but I think the PX100 had better mids. Like the voices don't seem more upfront with the PX100-II. It also depends on the player to(I use a Cowon D2). I am going to order the PX100's(which I loved) and do a direct compare. It might just be in my head since I got so attached to the PX100.

How does the PX200-II compare to the PX200? Or is the PX100 more worth it?

I have the PX100. Loved them till the plug broke. Plugs are hard to replace with the new thin wires. The updated model looks nice but I would rather have good midrange and a balanced sound than more bass. Does the midrange improve after the break in period?

We all (well, most of us) went w/the JVC Flats. The build quality is cheaper, and the pricing is way lower, but the SQ is on par w/these offerings. I'll say you really can't do wrong w/either of these new Senns, but I cheap-o'd out on 'em.

I have the PX100s and haven't really been impressed by them. I just received the JVC FXC50's from the Newegg 9.99 deal, haven't had but 45 minutes play time with them yet but have been using the HA-FX67's for about a week and they've been great.
