Mine have arrived, and I'll try 'em out tonight. I'm guessing I'll be mighty impressed - not that I have much to compare them to BTW.

Yeah, I couldn't find the HJE900's on panasonic's website either. And calling them proved to be equally as useless.

TDS: Congratulations man...I am totally loving mine now, 4 days later of near constant use. They opened up so much for me. Yes, the highs are crisp, but the low end is so good as well, solid and punchy and fast. The mids were originally a bit recessed as some have described but now have settled in and all is right with the world.

They take to EQ pretty well, but really, they sound nearly as good from a flat source.

And for sure, I observed the same things some folks on headfi mentioned [the non-crazy people] - these phones are very accurate in that if you feed them garbage rips/music, they will sound not so good. A total case of garbage in/garbage out.

Feed them good bitrate rips or FLACs and they totally shine.

I am delighted - am done with dynamic IEMs for a good long time. But I realized I now want a pair of good b/a IEMs as a basis of comparison....

It never ends... lol

Hope you love them as much as I do man...

You can purchase the sleek audio cable, which fits the hje900. And J&R also sells that same sleek audio cable, only cheaper, I believe.

btw, do you have any interest in the Panas? I do not recall if you have them or not. I for one would be interested in your impressions as well as you too have the VBs like I do.

I'm gonna definitely get another pair of these, as well as another spare cable or 2. I love these things, the sound is just so "right". It's clean and clear - and I just started using them,..............I love these little tanks!!! And they go so well w/low volume, like I prefer to listen to then at. And the bass,........WOW!!!............it's SOLID!!!

PS: I've adjusted my sig accordingly,............ And you guys we're really on point w/these, thanks for a wonderful ear-opening experience!!!

Wow, TDS, now that really is saying something coming from you, with all your gear experience.

Yep, I myself am done with dynamic IEMs I now have amassed a pretty respectable mid-priced IEM collection. Am so lucky and pleased that I basically enjoy all my IEMs. But for sure, overall, these Panas are the ones for me and will be my daily go-to pair for quite some time.

Only 1 complaint atm: The cord is only 1meter long...makes it difficult for me to put my DAPs in my back pants pockets and still retain good freedom of movement.

Rating my IEMs as follows:
1- Panasonic HJE900
2- Hippo VB
2.5 - Maximo i590s
4 - Soundmagic PL21
5 - Senn CX300
6 - Maximo i490s
7 - Creative Aurvana [well, a cousin has em now]
8 - Creative EP630 [sleeping/under pillow IEM]

So funny guys...I actually love clinking them together so much I almost have to fight that impulse and instead remember what their primary purpose is...

But hell yeah...extremely satisfying indeed This alone is nearly worth the price of admission

That "clinking" sound is the sound of quality, and it's DAMN satisfying!!!

I've never really liked most IEM's build quality, till I got these. And w/the Sony Hybrid tips I'm hoping I don't get my normal ear issues (it's a personal thing, no basis on the quality of the tips used).

All in all, me likey!!! And, as has been stated, not too bad to take a nap with.

Just got mine today.

The highs are really really high. Is that the highs? The higher pitch seems to be screeching. It's really bright. When the cymbals sound, it feels as though I have two cymbals hitting straight into my ears.

I've been loving the bass and the amount of soundstage I get. Definitely an improvement from my SE 530 with regards to those two aspects.

The tips come in thicker than I expected. But still, I am looking for more alternatives out there in order to improve the isolation. Traveling on plane for about 24 hours definitely require something with good isolation and for now, this panasonic is just not cut for it. SE530 is good for that purpose but the ears kind of hurt after wearing for 2-3 hours or so. Everything is always a tradeoff.

Anyway, it's been only 15 minutes or so. I might discover new things after some days. A little bit darker on the highs would be good, I think. =D

Just bought one although i already had a Sony Xb700. Smaller than I think.
Bass is impressive, but can't compare to my xb700 since xb700 produce too much bass , but i would rate it 8.5/10, excellent.

Test it with cowon s9, and the song "I love the way you lie". Volume is at 35, and equalizer is at X-bass. Damn, it sounds good

I also tried some instrument songs, it produced background sounds excellently, i could hear the very little frets sounds on guitar clearly, which i can't hear in in my xb700.

Excellent overall, no complain

ps: its pouch fits my cowon s9 as well, lol
