I'd like to upgrade the stereo on my vehicle. One of the things I'd like is to be able to plug my Zune into the unit via USB for a digital connection instead of using an 1/8" stereo jack.
I'd love to be able to control the Zune through the head unit, but if that isn't possible I would be OK with just connecting it via USB and using the controls on the Zune. I think Pioneer has a couple of units that work with Zune. Anyone else? How about Alpine's head units that have a USB port on the front? Thanks |

Pioneer is the only one I've heard of that is compatible with Zune, but I'm by no means an expert on the subject.

But what does compatible mean? That it will connect and play via USB or you can control it from the head unit?
Maybe Dave Mac can help on this one? |

Hmm... Well, most units only play MSC and some can access MTP, I believe. But I don't know of any that can play any proprietary-sync based players like the Zune. In case Dave DOES look at this thread, it's another good reason to give us MSC!
Although, I'm very doubtful that it will ever happen.I was taking that you knew what you were talking about when you mentioned Pioneer supporting Zune... Like I said, I'm no expert.
