Ok, so this is what i found on Jr.com. However, i don't think that it is the same with the one in this review. Can anyone explain why?


Also, does anyone know where to buy cable replacements for this phone? Thanks

I just hoped they posted a wrong picture cuz i prefer the shining metal look on the cable of this review to the one on Jr.com. I really hate those cheap plastic looking cables even they dont effect to the sound quality. Sorry for my weird thinking

Just order the SA6/SA1/CT6 replacement cable from Sleek Audio. They should work, and have worked for a couple of Headfi members.

While the HJE900 mania continues, just a quick pic for those that prefer behind-the-ear, the cable socket really doesn't interfere, however the cord length will. If you carry your player in a backpack, shirt/jacket pocket, or armband... now a front pant pocket is (literally) a stretch.

@Dfkt, What do you recommend for the foam? Do you just cut up foam tips from from other earbuds?

I'm not using foamies with the HJE.. but for the phones where I use them, I cut some cheap drugstore ear protectors to size, make a hole in them, and stuff them inside some Super.Fi silicon tips.

I've ordered a pair too... Currently using some CX400s, the 'gaming' type with the inbuilt volume slider. They're nice (first pair of IEMs, so I guess I was going to like them), but at this price (even in GBP) these sound hard to turn down...

Ah of course, didn't think of that. The foam caps of stock earbuds are perfect for that. Just cut a little piece off and scrunch it up.
