Clip + Power Saver feature not working

Hi guys, long time reader of these boards. In fact, I bought the Clip+ because of this website. I've had the player for about 2 months and all had been going great until a couple weeks ago when I noticed that the power saver feature was no longer working. Any idea how I can fix it? Here are 2 things that I think may have had to do with that feature not working anymore,but not sure:

-used and xp computer to add music to the player.
-got a new computer with win. 7 os and added/deleted music to the player.

I used that feature almost every day as I usually fall asleep while listening to music or podcasts.

Here are the things I've tried to fix the problem:

-Installed latest firmware
-reset factory settings
-changed usb mode and tried using the power saver option
-and finally I formatted the Clip+ and am only adding music from the win.7 pc.

Nothing has worked so far, I would love your help in fixing this problem as the power saver feature is one of my favorites.

Try using the sleep timer. The power saver powers down the player after a certain time if it is idle, not if it is playing. The sleep timer will power down after the amount of time even if it is playing.

what I really want is something that is between the power saver and the sleep timer which would turn off the player if a certain amount of time passes without a button being pressed on the player. It would automatically reset when a button is pressed, until it is disabled.
