Default Trouble with e250r: load main image fail

Ok, so my player began acting squirrely. I thought I could fix it myself; however, I ended up with it not being recognized by my computer in either mode. After several grueling hours of miserably searching the net for solutions, I solved the problem regarding device recognition, and replaced the 16mb format folder. For fear that I completely bungle my device again, I seek help from whomever might give it.

Currently, when I try to power up in the default mode, I receive a message that reads something like "Load main image failed. Switch to recovery mode." I connect in MSD; however, I am unsure as to what is needed to be done.

Being that the device is operable in MSD mode, I assume that the driver is fine. If you think otherwise, please explain. I figure all that is needed for the device to function properly is firmware.

Which firmware is needed? e200, or e200r; Version 1, or 2?
Copied from my device:

Version Info: Product Rev.: PP5022AF-05.51-S301-02.24-S301.02.24A-D
Base Code: 05.51-S301-02.24-S301.02.24A-D
ODM Ver.: S301-02.24-S301.02.24A-D
OEM Ver.: S301.02.24A-D
Build Type: -D

Thanks to all who assist me.

Thats a V1 player (all R series are), but what do you mean by "replaced the 16mb format folder"?

Perhaps I should have said that I recovered the 16mb format folder. It was hidden or something for a while. Anyway, it's not an issue now.

So, should I install V1 e200r firmware?

UPDATE --: I just copied files BL_SDboardSupport.rom and PP5022.mi4 to my device's 16mb format folder, receiving the same message. I'm beginning to wonder if I should download my sledgehammer onto the device. :P
