Default What's wrong with this player?
I have been a Sony fan for years, before they became so overrated. I was looking forward to the X Series, but it doesn't seem so popular on abi, which is a disappointment. The community here on abi usually has pretty decent opinions... So I want to know, why isn't this player very popular? What's wrong with it?

It was too expensive.....there were never more than a couple people at a time here that owned them.

Overpriced in a market with much cheaper alternatives.

It never could compete with Cowon's products especially with that price.

Heck, it costs S$799 for 32GB in Singapore. I can get a 32GB J3 for S$400.

Yepp. Overpriced. Specs looked like an iPod Touch and priced as though it was better than one. Very limited video support, no app store, and a crappy browser requiring you use a numeric keypad to enter web site or search terms. It was probably the textured paint job that pushed up the cost and kept them from ever lowering it to be competitive.

+3 overpriced/expensive.

I'd very much like it, I think, but for the cash, plenty of alternatives.
