J3 out of box faliure rate?

Hi!

After making my decision to purchase a J3 ASAP for a short while now, I seem to have noticed it's like one of the worst players regarding out of the box failure rate. Is this the case, or is it just the congregation of people I see complaining on forums will obviously be customers with faulty units, and not ones with functional units? LOL.

I don't know about other people's cases,but in my case the player worked absolutely perfectly out of the box.

Haha thanks ^^! That's good to know. Would you happen to remember your approximate time of purchase? So hopefully if there ever was/were bad batches, maybe enough time has passed for all of them to be already distributed/sent back to Cowon.

I think you pegged it. Most people who have a functioning unit don't post. People who have problems complain loudly.

My 16GB unit straight out of the box had no problems. No short battery life either. Purchased end of May.

I've had an I5, D2, S9, D2+ and an O2. No problems.

chri5peed, is there a plastic protective cover for the USB slot on the S9? If there is, has yours tore off from repetitive use? The cover on my J3 is tearing off after only 7 weeks of use.

There is, but I did cut mine off straight away. Both my D2s had mass use and did not break.
