Ive had this trusty little device for over four years now. And what a tragic end it was when I forgot to take it out of my trousers when they went in the wash. I let it dry out for a couple days and was amazed to find it turned on. However, as the title suggests, the touchpad is now unresponsive
I tried updating its firmwire to see if it was just a coincidental software issue. So Im now at a loss as to what to do? I really don't want to give up now after all these years so any help would be greatly appreciated! |

You can look into learning how to take it apart. Look on eBay for "parts" players.
Or you can buy a Sansa Clip or Clip+ or Fuze. They're not very expensive and when set to MSC mode they work just like a Z5. At least that's my experience. Except the Sansas turn on a lot faster than a Z5. There are some other choices like the Sony Walkman E44x series. Steve |
