Play X Series wirelessly through in-wall speakers

Hi, my boyfriend has the X Series and I want to get him something that will enable him to play it wirelessly through his in-wall speaker system from another room. Is this possible!?

Alternatively, I think there are gadgets that allow you to do this with an ipod, is it possible to get something to adapt an ipod dock to a sony walkman dock??

Sony makes a bluetooth adapter that will fit the X. Several companies make bluetooth receivers that plug into iPod docks. Some iPod docks come with built-in bluetooth. With the right parts an X could transmit it's music to a dock up to 10 meters away.
