Just a warning. 1.10 doesn't use english letters in the typist app, search box for music, or anywhere else the keyboard pops up. I recommend waiting for 2.10.

Looks promising already with an included stopwatch. What is the cartoon viewer?

Olley, actually it does work. At the bottom of the keyboard there is the option to use english letters. There is also the option - in dictionary settings - to use a Chambers Eng-Eng dictionary. Now if only I could figure out how to get it.

Is it possible to skip firmware version to the latest version?? For example My J3 is currently version 1.03, can I just dl the firmware for 1.10 and update it straight away to it?

Yes, that always works with Cowon players.

Nowhere legally, to the best of my knowledge. (We don't discuss illegal stuff in here.)

Does anyone know how to restore the original firmware that came with the J3. When I bought the player recently I updated its firmware to the 1.10 version not realising that in doing so I would not be able to connect the device as an MTP device. It is only an issue because I am having a huge problem getting playlists to work on the device - and from reading other posts I understand that when it is in MTP mode, playlists are easier.

So does anyone know how to restore the original firmware?

Sorry, just noticed this comment on the audiophile.net forum:

I had the same problem with the Korean keyboard and loss of MTP support, but I spoke with a Cowon tech support rep today who told me an official firmware update is due out this week, possibly Thursday or Friday. Check for the update at: http://www.cowonglobal.com/

Here is the link for the relevant thread: (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showth...t=36176&page=2)

I was just about to update, then checked my current firmware version, which is 2.03?

What's the difference between 2.03 and 1.03? I didn't realise there would be different versions floating around out of the box.

Anyone seen 2.10 yet? My view of Cowonglobal doesn't even find the J3 except in a main page photo. I've got one. Do they not know they are selling it?
