Default Will the J3 play audio while charging?

I have a question for the J3 owners out there...

Will the J3 play audio while charging (while NOT connected to a computer)?

Will the J3 play audio while connected to a computer?

For instance, the iAudio7 (firmware 1.16 at the least) will play when the USB cable is connected to a DC-USB power adapter, A/C USB power source, or A/C-USB adapter but will NOT play audio if connected to a computer's USB port.

Thanks in advance!

If its like my D2 or iAudio7, the mode is irrelevant. If there is a connection on the pins that carry data (even if you've "safely ejected" the device), the device won't allow playback.

The power only method seems to work because only the power leads are connected to anything.

You can play the music that is on the player through the computer in MSC mode though, right?

No it's because USB port on computer is a 500mA output, not enought to charge & play, it only takes the charge in priority.
You need at least 1000mA output.
MSC/MTP are just for transfering protocol and are not related in charge or playing.
