Listen to Walkman while connected in USB

So, I have a Sony Walkman A846 and I want to use it while at work.

Since I don't want to waste my batteries so fast (I'm a heavy user: NC on, DSEE, EQ, 320kbps and all that stuff), I'll use it while charging on my PC.

Problem is: I can't use the Walkman while it's connected to the PC.

Is there a way to use it while connected in USB (MTP)?

Basically, no. However, if you have an AC USB wallcharger, you could listen while plugged into that.
