Default possibility to make playlists in the player (or save to-golists)

is it somehow (or will it be) possible to make playlists in the actual player? or to save the to-go-lists youve made and make another one?

The Clip, Clip+, and Fuze all have the capability to make playlists. There are actually several methods. Please read the various posts in this forum for details.

All three Sansas support one on-the-go list. AFAIK, you cannot save it.

You will require a computer to load music onto these players. Playlists can be made at the same time. The single on-the-go playlist does not require a computer, but it cannot be saved.

If you upgrade the firmware to Rockbox, a world of new choices appear.

dfkt: thanx man

steve-steve: you know, at times, some people actually move away from the computer (believe it or not, but there's a world out there). hence my question if it was possible to make a playlist "in the actual player".

The go-playlist can be saved in the Clip+ OF, but install Rockbox and save multiple playlists.

Uh yeah, I know. Load songs on Clip, make playlists. use Clip, charge with wall adapter or USB lighter thingee in car, use Clip. Oh new music, plug in to computer, make new playlists, listen. Mine doesn't get plugged in to the computer very often.

But when I'm walking, or driving, or mowing, or whatever, I don't wish to stop to make new playlists. I use shuffle all, or an existing playlist.

I guess we are all different.

Playlists....the GoList, which you do make on the player, is enough. It is the only playlist I've ever bothered with....and even that, only a handful of times. The GoList is so quick and easy to make, I don't see why you would need to save multiple lists.....then again, my true feelings about playlists are in my sig.

And like Steve, I rarely connect to the computer.....in fact, asides from adding the latest podcasts , I don't plug my Clip+ into the computer at all. The 22.5GB of tunes on it are quite enough.....the remaining 200 or so MB are just for podcasts, which I delete from the player after I listen to them.

Just proves my point that playlists rot the brain.....even discussing them disrupted my brainwaves!
