Headphone Recommendations Needed

All of this mumbo jumbo about needing huge amounts of isolation is pretty idiotic to me. I have been on the subway with closed cans and iems enough times to notice that i don't need to turn up my volume.

Maybe i have good ears and don't need to up the volume, but when i wear my S4 on the subway and my music is at -20db to -15db (my usual listening range on the go) i can not hear outside noise. The last cans i went on the subway with were my skullcandy hesh like 2 years ago and i didn't have to raise the volume at all when the train arrived on being on the train.
