Rockbox has a sleep timer, but no alarm clock at the moment. Several people seem to work on a plugin, though.

ONCE dev is at a stage that it is usable; Rockbox might have one of those features... Don't hold your breath though.

Someone made a patch for it some time ago, I guess someone could update it and get it working again. Although the main concern is to keep it shut off when not in use, so it might dramatically reduce battery life. Someone could perhaps use the charger detection to their advantage and only make it work when it is plugged in.

So you are saying that Rockbox won't ever work on the Sansa - why do you think that?

Of course it will work on the e200 series - development is pretty advanced already.

Whether it will work will depend on the RTC chip's ability to wake up the device at a certain time.

To the contrary of what is seemed like EVERYONE told me; I installed Rockbox... with success! There seemingly is a feature to what you are speaking of (you can do practically anything on it... except listen to music, lol).

I didn't mean that development will never progress; I am just stating that unless you get hyper when you find a calc on your Mp3 like me; rockbox is not for you.... yet.
