I have had this unit for a week now and overall, I'm happy with it. The radio itself has two different wake up alarms, Am/Fm radio, sleep timer, and remote. Once you dock your Sansa, the remote (along with the buttons on top of the unit) works: play/pause and skip/scan track. The remote also raises and lowers the RADIO volume, and, has a Snooze/Dimmer button.
The sleep timer has several settings from 120 to 15 minutes and yes it DOES work with the Sansa player. The volume is level is numbered from 0 to 40 which is fairly loud and clear for a mono speaker (Don't try to replace your home theater with this!). As I said in the beginning, I am pleased with this unit. The best things I like are: The price, the sleep timer working with the Sansa, and the dimmer switch having 4 settings (High, Med, Low,and Off). The only thing that I don't like is the alarm buzzer is not very loud and it doesn't allow you to wake up to the Sansa (only radio and buzzer). Is there a headphone or line-out jack on the clock? (other than the one on the Sansa) My thought was to add some inexpensive computer speakers and convert it to a bedside "mini stereo system" Thanks again, Tyler |

No there isn't . There is a line IN so you can plug different audio devices to it (cable included).

Does anyone know anything about the Timex TIM TS70 radio for the Sansa? Is that compatible for all Sansa's?
Or the T158W? Just looking for NOT fancy dock- and small.

AFAIK all big sansas (e200, view, fuze) use the same docking connector... if so get the fuze not the e200

I havent even bought the mp3 player yet. I just want a small radio-type unit that I can plug an mp3 player into. Any advice on what manufacturer to get? Dont want to spend a ton of money.

Yea, the Fuze would be better then the e200 since the e200v2 are out.

I did recommend the e200 cause it's cheap and LFC wrote in the other thread she (he?) would only use it for podcasts... but sure, the Fuze would be the better player.
Since that Timex thing has a remote which obviously works with the e200/c200, I'm not quite sure if it would work for the Fuze/View as well?

Dfkt, yea, i am not sure, too. I would think the remote should work, but never know with the new players.

Well, the firmware of the player has to be controlled by the remote - so one could hope Sandisk kept the same system as on the older players. But nobody knows without testing it...
Of course, if there were enough accessories for the Fuze already available, this discussion would be moot.

Does anybody know of a patch for Rockbox that will allow it to accept inputs from the buttons on the TS-70?
