I'm not sure if my subject is descriptive enough so I will elaborate. I am thinking of buying a D2+ and have seen mixed reviews about video playback. I have a video library that is around 1TB and am hoping to avoid as much conversion as possible. I am looking for a program that can spit out user defined properties of an entire library but have not seen such a thing. I know buying another player would probably solve this but I have looked at too many to list and like this one. Most of my files are .avi but I'm not sure on other properties such as frame size, codecs, etc. which is what I need to analyze. I was looking at this page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190029 but am not sure I could modify this to do what I need and wanted to put the question out there before I do. Thanks in advance |

and yes I know I can right click individual files and get this but to do this for a terabyte's worth of video is just not happening

Hey there...not sure such a software beast exists...
Sounds like you are already familiar with: GSpot - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm MediaInfo: http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en But I don't know if they will provide a whole directory's worth of file properties...I only use them for 1 at a time queries. ![]() Tip: You may get better/more responses from sites like codecs.com or videohelp...this stuff is much more up their alley I think... Please post back if you DO discover such an app...I for one would be interested to know... ![]() Cheers, -lestatar
