I still am a bit annoyed by touch screen only phones because to me they are inaccurate and hard to use without looking at the device. Gestures on the other hand i can be down with. one handed search, bring it on!
However, like Google Nav, its very beta and not something you want to rely on. simple letter recognition is horribly inaccurate. It tries to compensate by offering searches by bringing up searches for letters it think you drew. So for instance it will bring up searches for "C" and "L" if your drew something in between. The old school first gen Palm Pilots were more accurate. You can download it now from the android store by searching "gesture search" and check it out yourself. This app also highlights Androids bigger problem- fragmentation. It wont work on anything less than 2.0. http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/201...h-written.html http://gesturesearch.googlelabs.com/
